PART I.

Heyoka Magazine:  Please tell me about how you became a heyoka and your traditions?

Red Elk:  I am first and foremost of the Inner Heyoka Society.  My name Red Elk was given to me in a sacred ceremony.  I was ordered to change my name. I am not related to any other Red Elk. In Indian land, I am referred to as Red Elk.org.  I am of French, Irish and Indian descent.  I am not a full-blooded Indian; I am a half breed and only look white.   We learn and teach purity, not tradition. Tradition broke away from purity. Tradition started over 2000 years ago. Purity was always a part of the human race  (as we know it now).  Purity is really innocence; the childlike mind.  Like Adam and Eve before they disobeyed.  Adam and Eve, because they were so innocent, were able to walk in the garden face to face, hand in hand with the Creator; once they disobeyed this was no longer possible.  Yet they could talk with him, though he would no longer show himself to them.  They passed this ability onto their children and their grandchildren.  Eventually mankind lost that touch. 

HM: Can you tell me about the history of the Inner Heyoka Society?

RE: We of the Inner Heyoka, have learned that old way.  We practice it.  We talk with the Creator, we shut up and listen. Then we obey.  This is purity.  Though none of us are Mormon, we all agree that Christ walked in the Americas. Originally, the Inner Heyoka began with 13 who followed him as he walked across all of South and North America.  These 13 learned at his feet.  Eventually, when he left, in time there was peace for over 200 years amongst all indigenous people of North and South America, including the Arctic's.  He said he would return; we thought he did but it turned out to be the conquistadores.  We returned to our old war ways.  We called this one, that the white world calls Christ, we call him Big Brother, The Teacher, The Pale One.  He has many names amongst the nations including wakin"yan" (thunderbird) and another word Pequah.  The Thunderbird is is a story of his death and resurrection.  The indigenous people had no writing, so we enACTED the stories we learned from him.  The sun dance that is so sacred to the plains natives, originally started out as the SON dance.  Time has lost its memory to today’s Native Americans, but not to the Inner Heyoka who carry on the teachings from when he was here.

HM: What happened to the 13th member?

RE:  In time, one of the original 13 came up with an idea that included chants, drums, rattles, etc.  This was a vaudeville act, done in desperation to bring food and goods to this man’s lodge; THIS WAS A BEGINNING OF TRADITION. 

Now only 12 of us carry on the original purity way.  We use tradition occasionally if and as the Creator orders.  Basically though, we use simple prayer.  In this praying, we HAVE seen the dead raised; the blind see; the incurable diseases cured; alcoholics cured instantly; drug addicts cured instantly; cancer instantly cured; suicide stopped and many other things.  This is Purity.  This is connecting to the Creator one on one.  This is going back to the childlike innocent mind.  This is what the Inner Heyoka are all about.  Our knowledge has taught us that indeed we are all ONE relation; each a brother or sister.  That  ALL in their own way, are trying to reach CREATOR GOD.  It is the cultural ways of the people of the world trying to reach the CREATOR.  Allah is a cultural name for the Creator; Great Spirit is a cultural name for the Creator; GOD is a cultural name for the Creator etc. 

HM: What is your message or hope for the world?

RE:  It is our desire and hope that the whole world of mankind would allow each to go to the Creator in their own way. Not forcing one way upon another as THE right way, as all are the right ways in their own cultural ways. We should not war one against another. We should melt our tanks and guns and turn them into plows to till the land and feed our families and live in peace.  There is ONE name that the Creator is – LOVE.  Many have tossed out the good book due to man’s interpretations of this book.  They have misread it; they know little about its truth.  In this book are many teachings.  In this book it even tells how to get rid of mold in your home; it tells how to make an atomic engine for your cars out of three twelve volt batteries; it tells how to teleport so no car or plane or ship is needed to pollute our lands; it tells how to do mental telepathy so phone calls are free; it tells how to become invisible; it tells how to levitate - fly.  It tells many things; it tells how and the formula how.  It tells of micro technology ; it tells that we are not alone in space; it tells of inner lands within our own earth mother.  It tells how to unite us brothers and sisters and LOVE one another and to have peace upon our mother, this great turtle.  People throw out the baby with the wash and then they throw out the tub as well. 

I tell you all to LOVE yourself.  LOVE your family, your neighbors, your township, your country; the country of others and the others within those countries.  LOVE is the CREATOR.  We are in for very rough times because we have forgotten this.  Every one is for (self).  This is not the way of the Creator; soon most of us will be gone because we follow self not love.  And then we will start over once again; the fifth time.  Only you can stop our near future, but this will take 85 to 87 percent of mankind to learn to love one another to do so.  To all, I say, connect with the Creator one on one in your own way.  Lay down your arms and put your human arms around each other in LOVE.  Stop this madness; we have little time left to do so. HO, Red Elk.

 

PART II.    

HM:  Please tell me about the red pipe?

RE:  These are the meanings of the ways of the sacred pipe to the Inner Heyoka:

We usually get up at about 3 in the morning and contemplate upon the things of our Creator;  in this contemplation every morning, we think on the things we did the day before; did we improve?; did we do things wrong?  We think on those things as we wait for grandfather’s sun to wake our world.  We think on our selves, how can we improve and be more loving and more helpful to mankind and all around us; including the plants and waters etc of our mother.  We see our failings; our not doings of the day before as we apologize to our Creator and truly feel sad for our things that we do.  Doing NOTHING is as bad as doing bad. 

We apologize to our Creator as we see where we have failed just the day before.  We powwow with our Creator; telling him that we are sorry and we will try to do better today; to hold no hurt, no anger; no unlovingness to anyone or anything; we ask for his help ; grandfather Sun is the bowl of the Creators great pipe of peace.  As the tip of the sun starts at the horizon and rises to us; it is the Creator sending us his pipe to smoke; to seal our hope, our promises.  As the great pipe’s bowl bottom touches the horizon, our prayer time is done.  We can now go about our daily life. Meanwhile his great pipe passes up slowly overhead in the middle of the day; the great pipe sends the thought to us – what have you achieved in this first half of the day – you have only the second half now to work upon.  When the great bowl goes down at night to let others on the other side of our mother pray with; we watch the pipe leave and we think on what good we have done today, if any.  We do not see the sun as something to be worshipped.  We see it as our great Creator's pipe of peace and commitment.  This is what the peace pipe of God means to us. I LOVE YOU. I wish you well.  HO, Red Elk.

Translation.  The word HO, means Amen, So be it.  AHO means I understand.

 

PART III.

 

HM:  What does your name Red Elk mean?

 

RE:  It means just the opposite of Black Elk.  The name Red Elk means “the Indian prophecy of the 7^th generation, is NOW - and this one’s job is to help it become so”.  AHO. – First I am of the Inner Heyoka Society. second I am Heyoka – third I am of the Red Web Society.  Also, I am an honorary member of the Cherokee’s Twisted Hair Society who hold the knowledge of the crystal skulls, or the section that hold’s the knowledge of the crystal skulls.  I have seeked out none of these societies, they sought me out.  I did not accept without much prayer and guidance – I have turned down a few other societies.  The old Indian prophecy concerns this time - Black Elk told of the coming of the white man and how they would intercede the red man’s way of connecting to the Creator - and this caused all kinds of hell in connection to that.  Red Elk, my name, was not explained to me for a full year and I thought that it was a ridiculous name; at least for a ceremonial name I did not know its meaning.  But it means this one is here to tell that the red and black road are now in the process of being reversed. The red man’s way is now interceding the white man’s way.

 

HM:  What do you mean by that, can you elaborate?

 

RE:  The prophecies of long ago concerning the 7^th generation are now being fulfilled.  “White man” (by that I mean all races other than Native Americans) have become quite interested in The People’s (Our) way.  They are searching for truth they have not found in their religions or churches.  They seek the red man out for their wisdom.  Due to the white man’s interference with our ways – 7 generations ago, most of the NA (Native Americans) have LOST most of their knowledge on how to do things.  Most of the NAs are running on fumes only.  Many making claims that are impossible for them to fulfill at this time.  A few, almost all elders, can possibly do all of what their ancestors did.  But, the NAs in general think their nuts.  They do not listen, or rarely listen, to the elders anymore.  It takes more than red skin to be in tune with the Creator.  But slowly it’s coming back.  It’s like a salmon trying to swim over many dams to get the general NA populace back to their old knowledge ways.  Again, they rarely listen to their elders and generally don’t like me because of my white skin.  Will the day ever come when they will  listen to me?  Still I try. 

 

I wear one moccasin and one street shoe – no one has a choice upon the way they are born and in my case I am part Indian and part white but look all white.  I know many full bloods (so they claim) who have white blood in them from the past – I do not call them names though many do so with me, but that’s the way of it – each their own path. 

 

HM:  Who are the Red Web Society?

 

RE:  Nine people led by Elk Chief; who is of Oneida and Black Feet bloodline.  It was prophesized long ago that this would be the last society in Indiandom. 

 

HM:  Please tell me about the Twisted Hair Society? 

 

RE:  Do you recall the movie Roots?  They had keepers and have keepers of generations of birth and death etc. - all by memory.  The Twisted Hair Society have the same similar memory keepers.  The Twisted Hairs have the knowledge and the ancient memories stored in their minds passed down from generations concerning in this case the crystal skulls.  Some of which have been stolen (the skulls I mean) and some are yet to be located.  These are coming now to their fulfillment,  for it is time for the knowledge that the skulls hold to be made known.  These skulls have been implanted in them; knowledge from the very ancient ones - the very wise ancient ones - to help our earth mother and all the people that walk upon it, IN THIS TIME.  The crystal skulls are similar to an Internet… a computer.  Certain people know how to connect to these computers and to retrieve the information placed therein. There are many other objects done in a similar manner but we are speaking here of the crystal skulls.  Some of us (medicine people) know how to take an object and imprint our knowledge within those objects for instance. A white man has no idea how to pull knowledge out of a stone; in a sense to them the stone is encrypted.  White man sends letters whereas we can send a rock.  I can open a white man’s letter and read it but they can’t open a rock and read it, or a stick, or whatever object we implant with our knowledge – our mind letter writing.  Do you understand?

 

The white people really messed up with their arrogance and ignorance when they came here – we could have taught them much – now it is sacred, which also means secret.  Your dominance over us has sealed our lips - this is much to your shame and sorrow.  We do not forget easily – HO.

 

HM:  Can you tell me about the sacred land in the Black Hills - what the whites refer to as Mt. Rushmore ?

 

RE:  I will try to answer that question.  We have places where we connect in a very special way to the Creator and to all knowledge.  To you - spirits are ghosts; to us - occasionally they are what we know of them as shadows or shadow people. These two last words are our names for ghosts, but many spirits are very much NOT ghosts.  Many of our ancient ones and others are simply NOT dead.  The Black Hills has many of the elders who are in/and of another place.  All across South and North America, and the Arctic's on down had many of these areas where we can go and seek knowledge and help -- but the white man has ruined, built over, stolen and bought many of these places.   Here in the USA is the worst of the white man’s destructions.  In South America, the natives there are keeping their mouths shut so many places are known only to them, not to the white.  Canada still has many sacred places.  The USA though is so over-populated with the white man -- who are so ingrained with their ownership and greed that most of our sacred places are no more; destroyed or controlled by those who are no longer in tune with the earth.  The Black Hills is just one of these many places that white man has screwed up.   (I love you, but you are idiots).

 

HM: You are regarded by whites and Indians alike as a bridge between native people and all other religions - including Atheists. Can you elaborate on this?

 

RE: We are all literally one relation.  No matter your color, religion etc.  We are the Creator’s daydream.  We are ALL here in existence because the Great One has thought us into being.  His daydream - and he never sleeps - so the dream goes on.  I say he – but the Creator is absolutely sexless.  We are all of the same mind-womb of our Creator.  There is no other but this one Great One.  All humans, stars, air - all have been made by him.  You can call this Great One anything you want, he/she whatever.   This Great One knows his name, no matter how you refer to Him.  He knows your heart and looks at that, not so much as your brain.  Being that we come from the same mind-womb of the Great Creator, we are all related.  AHO?

 

There are people who claim to be Atheist – yet all are inborn with the knowledge that there is One Creator, One Maker.  For whatever reason, an Atheist chooses not to accept that any longer.  They try to convince others that THEY are right. And, they hang around with each other, therefore they still have a God, the God of No God. They are like any religion and/or denominations, trying to convince others that THEY are right. There is no difference between an Atheist, Catholic or Muslim etc.  They all presume that THEY are right and everyone else is wrong.  The American Indian way is not, nor has ever been, a religion  -- it is simply the way.  Literally - innocence, childlike mind, purity  -- that connects one person or tribe or nation to the Great One.  In the old ways of the American Indians - all knew that way.  White man in their interfering injections has divided the knowledge that all South Americans, North Americans and including the Arctic's knew. Now there is bickering and fighting among the Indians - literally acting like the whites - most have lost the true way. 

 

HM:  I understand that this is a very sensitive question to ask or to answer.  From your perspective as a heyoka (not speaking for any Indian nation) -  what do you believe to be the reasons for the white mans mistreatment of the Native American people?

 

RE:  Regarding this question - it will not set well with many people including my red skin brothers; yet I want all to understand.  When I say I KNOW something, I am not speculating on a thing.  As an Inner Heyoka, we are shown and check what we are shown and we KNOW IT.... Not know It. 

 

First off, after the world was gases that turned into water that split and then split water from land, that land was one great mass only.  Huge in size, the Good Book tells about four different earth rolls/flips.  It speaks of the Tower of Babel and the confusion of tongues.  At one time we all spoke the same identical language, our colors varied but the culture and the tongue were identical.  When mankind decided to build a tower, the Creator saw how heady mankind had become and He confused their tongues by giving different colors different languages.  Months later, those who spoke whatever language they spoke ran off to various different sections of this great massive land (to get away from those others who did not speak their tongue) - they thought they were crazy.  When all were in their separate places, our Turtle Mother rolled over splitting this great mass into many sections; some of that land mass stayed right where it was, others drifted away over the face of our mother.  Though science today claims this took millions of years, I tell you true - IT TOOK 10 MONTHS.  The shaking, the winds so terrific, it killed most of mankind at that time and separated mankind.  South and North America used to be part of this one great land mass - now shaken to its present position - floated over here atop the great waters that were beneath most of that great continent.  It took two weeks to settle down, once the world separation got to their spots.  Two weeks of massive earthquakes, volcanoes going off, etc. -  literally being used as a form of pressure valve as these different split off areas settled to the solidarity of the land that was below the waters.  I understand that this is contrary to all of today’s beliefs and so called…. Knowledge … but I Know this.  In visions, I have been taken back; IN SPIRIT TRAVEL I  have been shown this.  As an aside, the people of the South and North Americas floated over here on "the log".  They were here Before the ice bridge spoken of between Russia and North America.  A few Tibetan types people did walk across the ice bridge and became our Inuit, our Eskimo.  These people divided and went down into South West America, Navajo, etc.  To this very day, the Eskimo and the South American Indian can understand each other's own languages.  Why not, they came from the same route? 

 

The book the world calls Bible and we call the Good Book, gives mostly only one view.  That view is of the southern hemisphere; it hints at the northern hemisphere - us.  When the great land mass parted and North and South America came to where it now stands, it spun as it settled.  Those who read the Good Book know of the Garden of Eden and the rivers therein.  Little do they know that the Garden of Eden and the rivers therein split away from the one that you know of.  The Yukon River and two or three others up there in the Cree land in Canada; the Crees know the true wording for Yukon etc. - it is the name Euphrates.  We were divided.  Today the Garden of Eden still exists in a far purer form than it does in the southern hemisphere, untouched by white man’s hands in general.  In the Bible it speaks of one boat called the ark; this ark building occurred at yet another earth splitting time.  Little do you know that we in North America had arks as well – we called them the Great Canoes. We know where one of these Great Canoes are; we have found it high in the mountains in the Yukon area.  We know many things you people don’t and we keep silent - or some archeologist or dimwits in general will go in and destroy it, hack it up, put it in a museum etc.  It is best we keep our mouths shut on some things.  HO.

 

Whether Indians or the rest of the world WANT to believe it, there ARE two spiritual factors – good and evil.  Lucifer is a true being, a spirit being, and very very real.  I have met this one personally - face to face; he stood 22 feet tall.  This one is real.  I could touch this spirit as I could touch any human being.  This one knows that the indigenous people of the world - not just the American Indians, had a connection to the Creator that the white have long ago forgotten. Therefore he used and still uses those not of the indigenous to try to kill us, even today.  For we know truth that all human kind knew ages and ages and ages ago – he did not, nor does he ever,  now want this truth to be known  (this one -together connection with the Creator), therefore he used and USES you to make mockery of us, and to kill us even today.  You think we are savages or backwards, be it the indigenous of Africa, South, North America, the Russian steps, and other places still on our planet that are protected. THE CREATOR WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO ELIMINATE US!!!

 

For we still retain much of the connection knowledge, no matter what you think of us. If we can forget our anger of you, we can help  the world, to survive the next flip of our planet, which will be well within 25 years from now.  If you are a praying reader, pray that we can swallow our anger towards you and help all.  Again this is all good versus evil and you have been used for the evil.  It’s time you know this.  But I love you anyway.  Sometimes spankings are needed but the grandfather and the grandmother hurt even as much as the one being spanked.  HO.

 

HM:  What do you think the white man needs to know or change with to respect the troubles and what's happening on the Indian reservations?

RE:  ANY truths out can Only BUT Help.   We of redblood need the Whites, as much as "U" need US. It takes ALL to make a body ..... rite now the "body" is in pieces.... AMPUTATED.  It is TIME TO HEAL.  ALL PIECES MUST COME TOGETHER.  Only then will Oneness .... "Me-Talk-We-O-oshin"...."ONE RELATION".... AND MANS' AND EARTH MOTHERS' HEALING HAPPEN.  Otherwise, The "GREAT SPANKING"  WILL.    ARMAGEDDON!  This CAN BE PUT OFF for a Future Generation......but it will take 85 to 87% of mankind, WORKING TOGETHER as ONE, to do so. We of the indiginess MUST "Bury The Hatchet'"...."U", the "whites" MUST "SEE" we (Native Americans') HOLD KNOWLEDGE And WISDOM that CAN HELP ALL MANKIND. 

 "YOU" Must QUIT "SEEING" US As "DUMB" / "IGNORANT" / "DIRTY" / "LAZY"  "Savages"!  WE KNOW THINGS "U" have LONG AGO 4GOTTEN.  "Secrets".  SACRED THINGS.....that Can HELP SAVE MANKIND!  "YOU" have gone to TECHNOLOGY...."MAN".....to seek "Bigness" (Godness).  WE HAVE STAYED WITH THE CREATORGOD ALL ALONG.  WE know all it takes is UNITY WITH THE CREATOR to be able to Fly (levitate) / Talk mind to mind (NO PAYING ATnT) / Etc.. We KNOW this...n the HOWS.  "WE" DO NOT RAPE R EARTH TO DO THESE THINGS!  WE live in HARMONY with r Mother VIA R CONNECTION WITH THE CREATOR.  "YOU", on the other hand....TRY TO BE  G O D !  "Ur" Arrogance n SELF PRIDE has TAKEN "YOU" FROM THE GODHEART  /  /MIND-TO-CREATOR -HEART.... That is Needed. "Uve""LOST IT"!  "YOU" Destroy...."WE" STILL TRY TO KEEP THAT ANCIENT 'ONENESS' UNITY.  But "WE" r FAST LOSING THIS ABILITY, this by being so "close" to "You".  "Whitenized".  "YOU" R STILL "KILLING" US.... and in so doing, Killing "YOU"!  "Oh FOOLISH Generation".  LET US ALL WORK 2GATHER, 4 the SAKE of ALL.  NOW!  B4 it’s too late.  "ARISE, Lazereth".....ho.  Red Elk

 

PART IV:

HM: Can you elaborate on what else the whites have lost?

RE.   Concerning "things" known only 2 we Native Americans ;   As many r aware of,  Science THINKS 9n rightly that there r DIMENSIONS / "TIMES" / PARALLEL TIME(s) / Etc.. oh YES....HOW VERY TRUE!  As mentioned earlier, some r NOT Dead.  Literally CROSSED INTO ANOTHER "PLACE"...IN PHYSICAL!  When going, u stay at the age u go in.  NEVER GROWING OLDER.  Some of my Inner Heyoka' Elders r such as these.  Being they R NOT DEAD...if I need Them, or they Me....they cross back to here to instruct, etc.. When This One calls....THEY COME.  I am NOT "CALLING UP THE DEAD"  (a No No).    This is NOT a Parallel Time that they r at....more a "TIME PLACE" then anything else.  Other: u can LITERALLY GO RIGHT INTO A CLIFF (etc.) FACE....crossing into a VERY REAL "WORLD"....though Parallel to ours....its NOT a Parallel Time Place. Parallel Time is different.   Other; P. Time:  These "times/places r SUPER IMPOSED Over US.  There r LITERALLY  M I L L I O N S  of these.  It is poss. to ACCIDENTALLY Go Into one....or, in Cerimoni....PICK N CHOOSE n Go In at ur leasure.  Few know how any longer.  Less then 5.  I AM ONE of these 5, n the YOUNGEST One.  I will b 63 this month.  This knowledge is dieing as we die.  Ho.  It holds GREAT DANGER, as only certin P. Times r "friendly" (compatible) to we in This P.Time.  When a "door" is opened...it is open BOTH WAYS.  ie; n UNFRIENDLY Person OR MILITARY can ENTER HERE...or Visa Versa.  Aho?    Other;  THERE IS ABSOLUTELY  NO  TIME!  Time dos NOT EXIST.  Only Seasons do....n seasons r Not TIME.  Thus its a simple thing to go BACK into the past.  SEE EVENTS taking place, etc..  It is also simple to go 4WARD.  WE DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING ahead Past 3 DAYS. As beyond that "Possibilities"....PROBABLES.....R TOO MANY past 3 days ahead.  Thus u r NOT SURE if what u r seeing is the MOST PROBABLE to THIS Time.  3 days ahead r The SAFE LIMIT to "know".  Tho ALL PROBABLES  A R E....EACH HAPPEN IN A PARALLEL TIME!  After 3, u r Not SURE u r seeing UR P.Time,or someone else's. Aho?  these written here r but a TINY FEW of the Knowledge we of "Red Skin" still know n still retain. At least SOME of us.  IT IS THIS RETENTION that has kept our "typ" STILL ALIVE.  "U" on the other hand, search 4 a "machinery way" to duplicate these.  If Found, then a CO. will SELL U A MACHINE.  We have learned ALL this is FREE. "Ur"  "We're GOD"  "way" r ENTRAPMENTS.  DESIGNED to have "Power People" make the common man BUY...n thus control u.  Thus, WHO'S THE "DUMB" One?   Know this; at one time, ALL KNEW THESE ABILITIES.  Its just that We (N.A./etc.) have RETAINED THIS KNOWLEDGE.  Again; THAT Y WE R STILL ALIVE.  "PaPa" will  N O T  let this knowledge ability DIE.  "U" NEED US folks.  Ho.  Red Elk
 

PART V.

HM:  How many reservations have you visited?

 RE: I can only give you the most recent that I can recall; I have visited so many. HOPI, Navajo, Apache, Black Hills, Sioux in the Black Hills area, Yakima, almost all of the Cree reservations throughout all of Canada, Abernathy, three or four others on the east coast of Canada that are not Cree; The Collville, Pacific Northwest Coastal Tribe Nation.  That ‘s all that I can recall off hand in the last four and a half or five years.

 HM: From your experience visiting all of these different reservations; what would you say is the biggest problem?

 RE: No jobs!  This is the main problem, that equals no self esteem.  No matter where you seem to go, you have extremely poor housing almost everywhere.  You have no respect to the Indians from any of the surrounding whites.  In general, most Indians including in South American, are still in a sense “prisoner’s of war”; downtrodden, defeated, warriors without bows.  Nothing left to do but cowtow to the whites, get drunk, get on drugs and live in a defeated manner.  Again this is in general. 

There are three different types of Indians in all of the reservations that I have seen; Traditionalist, filled with backbone and good pride; the Fence Straddlers, who go where it is convenient, trying to get along in both worlds; and then the Progressive – basically apples, red on the outside - white on the inside.  Amongst the three and at all reservations / tribes / nations – they are all trying to fight predominance over the other two.  The Traditionalists basically just want to be left alone to live in harmony with nature and their old ways.  These are very peaceful humans, but war was brought to their lodge doors from the other two.  More-so from the apples than the Fence Straddlers.  The whites back the Progressives.  Overall, in election time in general, the Progressives get the leading positions; backed by white money and those desiring to ride the shirttails of these puppet chiefs; these are back scratchers - I’ll scratch your back if you’ll scratch mine.  Until the three can find peace amongst themselves, there will never be peace on any reservation.  It has become a dog eat dog world.   

In the old days, a chief was merely a wise elder that listened to all his or her people (there were female chiefs as well).  They listened to their people and took council with all of the elders and decisions were made through prayer; the powwow circle (powwow means leading) and then acted on accordingly.  It was generally much more democratic than today’s so called democratic government.  A chief or chieftess did not just point and say do this/do that; they listened, weighed carefully the petitions and acted for the good of all.  Today, you don’t have very many decent chiefs or cheiftesses; those very few who are decent are constantly under attack by those that they have replaced or others who just want to have the ego trip of being big chief.  The Indians have learned what it is like to live in the white man’s way. 

HM:  So you are saying that the white man’s interference/meddling inside the reservations with various "progressive puppet chiefs" has been a negative influence ?

RE:  The first white group in America’s written history brought their white thoughts with them;  their  “I’m right / you’re wrong”.  It was like a rotten tomato put into a bushel of fine tomatoes.  Yes, we had our troubles, our wars etc. but, the whites brought their troubles and their wars with them.  The first load of whites were the first beginning of corruption of today’s Indians.  That corruption will not stop until we Indians, IF we are willing, teach the white man the goodness of the old ways.  IF the white will listen; all once again can live in harmony with technology and harmony with all nature and all kind. 

 HM: Please tell me more about the ways of the Fence Straddlers?

 RE: The Fence Straddlers basically still have touch with much of the traditional ways; and want the comfort of the white ways at the same time; I can’t blame them.  But technology is fast winning out amongst those people in that group more and more; leaving the fence straddling to become Progressives.  As for the Traditionalists, they have no desire to freeze in a tipi etc. during the winter.  They too like the comforts that the whites have brought, but they like to go to a sweat lodge or to akivi.  In akiva or a sweat lodge; those attending listen to a Creator or a Gee; in a white man’s church those attending listen to a man telling them what God said.  

AT one time all Native Americans or NAs had the one bond ship of oneness with the Creator.  ALL would go and listen to the Creator.  The Great One could and still CAN guide an individual and in so doing keep those individuals in harmony with all; nature etc. understand the one bondship between all Indians, be it Eskimo or North or South American Indians.  They knew the one bondship of one on one with the Creator.  In that way, we were always united.  This is not so with the white man in his religion.  Look at how many dozens upon dozens; over two hundred divisions of the Christian religion today.  I, Red Elk, can go to any North American or South American Traditionalist peoples and worship the Creator in the same identical way as they; the whites can’t.  If you’re not Catholic, you are going to hell.  If you are Protestant, the Catholics are going to hell.  As far as I’m concerned, they can all going to hell   But, in fact, God birthed us in his mindwomb; we are ALL (no matter race or way of worship) God’s own child/children.  He doesn’t care how you go to him - if you would just go to HIM.   Not some man telling you what he meant by this verse or that verse.  Purity, the original way, still is far greater than man dominated/controlled religions.  Some day, quite soon, those people left on this planet will once again learn that without looking at color of skin or the way they speak etc., will be stripped bare of their religions and ALL will return to Purity.  We will have to go through “HELL” before we once again learn this way, as a whole.  Armageddon is what will do this. 

 HM:  What do you think are the main reasons the traditionalists do not want to assimilate into the white man’s world?  Do you think there is a middle ground, a middle way?

 RE:  Yes, a middle ground is quite possible; let each other live their life in the cultural way as long as it does no harm to others.  Get the churches out of the reservations; the missionaries out of the reservations and let my people go their own way.   They talked to God and knew Christ better than the whites do today.  If the Moslem wants to go to a mosque; great, they are going to their Creator in a cultural way.  If a Christian wants to go to a Christian church, that is fine.  Just don’t try to say “my way is right and your way is wrong”.  The break up of All the world’s people is caused by one group saying that “my way is the only way”; i.e. Religions!!!  There is the beginning of all man’s troubles.  If a Native American wants to know more about the Christian religion; let them come to you.  If a white man wants to learn the Indian way (it was never a religion), fine - allow it and let it be.  We can have harmony.  HO. 

 HM: So you are saying that the traditionalist way is the best way for them to go?

 RE:  For Everyone, regardless of color or culture, I would highly recommend each individually go on a vision/prayer quest - Seeking the Creator’s will and knowledge for themselves.  Even “iniska” (the son of God) did this.  That alone; once a person connects - and again - THAT ALONE - will help bring harmony to all people.  Do I recommend the Traditional way over any other way; it cannot be done in the so-called civilized world today.  But oneness with the Creator can be done.  The Traditionalists know that way.  The Traditionalist lives in a white man’s house – usually; drives a white man’s car; wears white man’s clothes etc.  I personally like to wear a loin cloth, but I would be arrested if I went downtown in the damn thing.  It is okay for Tarzan, but it is not okay for anyone else.   A Traditionalist has to learn how to do a bit of fence straddling, but a Traditionalist never lose his or her touch with all creation and the great Creator.  In that way, they are totally traditional.  This is what the whole world needs to do.  In that way, I recommend traditional over anything.  

HM: When you talked about the problems with the young people with drugs and alcohol; what would you say to these troubled youths?

 RE:  Listen to your wise elders - go on a vision/prayer quest.  Listen to the wisest elder of all, the Creator.  Know that although you are surrounded by (white man), in your spirit - you can never be held captive.  They cannot kill your spirit; only you can allow your spirit to lie down and cry.  Only you can allow the spirit of youth to lie down and cry. 

 The whole world runs to booze and drugs and sex and self; not just the reservation children; looking for happiness in “things” or trying to hide from the sadness of life.  Life need not be sad; rise up - know the great Creator cares about You.  Let your spirit soar within - despite what is without.  HO.

HM: Is there any other message you would like to give the readers?

RE. Readers of the words above....This one fears u r seeing anger in the words said.  This one asks that u look DEEPER.  4 u c,  this one speaks from the heart.  N this ones' heart is LOVE, not anger, not hate.  The words r ment to jar....2 help u c the hurt each gives each.  What U DO, affects the ALL of the WHOLE.  We r brothers/sisters.   Of One Source.  The words said r ment 2 convey what the actions of "one" has given 2 but a few (N.A.s n other "indiginis").  Many do not understand many.....most r "ingrained" by the prejudices of those now long passed.  Yet their opinions..."knowings".....carry on, to YOU.  Or us.  Misunderstanding begets hate / Ego.  WE MUST ALL START ANEW.  We must lay down our pre-conceived "knowings".  Start FRESH. 4 we r ALL ignorant of others' 'ways'.  No one LOOKS....they go by PRE-CONCEIVED "knowings" others have passed down.  CAN U LOOK ANEW?  We All MUST, if true peace is 2 b amongst the whole of mankind. HM: When we talked last, you spoke a little about the 7th generation prophecies?

You said    "The prophecies of long ago concerning the 7^th generation are now being fulfilled.  “White man” (by that I mean all races other than Native Americans) have become quite interested in The People’s (Our) way. They are searching for truth they have not found in their religions or churches.  They seek the red man out for their wisdom."

Is this the same thing as the seventh prophesy mentioned by various NA tribes such as the Hopi, Lakota,and  Anishnabe etc?

RE:  YES! But only a PART of what I meant in "7th Generation". This One ("I" HATE "I", but use it Only because people r familiar with it in speaking), mrnt AS WELL:  The people of the "civilized" (Ha!) 'world' will seek out the WAY of "Indian".  Seeking SPIRITUALITY.  This began during the '60s....the "Flower Child" time. This, in turn, began the "New Age" movement in a Big way. a MIX of N.A. n WITCHCRAFT.  This is NOT "The WAY" of N.A. PURITY. Lucifer is very REAL.  he KNEW / KNOWS "The Prophesies"....rs included. RE:  The SPOTS will b up 2 the N.A.s to tell IN THE PROPER TIME.  "Y"?  Whiteman.  The destroyers / "Collectors"...n to us "scum".  Ur civilization r full of these.  From Archeologist to Doctors to "Scientists" to just plain Vandals.  Even New Agers who want to "experience" n in so doing leave human waste of all kinds n take a "sacred" memento".  I think u understand. HM:    Can you please tell me about your practices with the sweat lodge and explain the difference between a sweat lodge and a modern day sauna?

RE:    Sweat Lodge ; This is of various designs n sizes. Mine (2) r of the basic Plains Style.  This made with small dia. Willow.  Preferably Red Willow.  A "dome" in shape.  Each of the 13 sticks represent certain things.  We have a Reason 4 all. These willows r ASKED (generally) if they would like 2 contribute to r (2 legged) need.  Each gives permission.  Tobacco is given a gifting "tnx" b4 cutting.  "Whites" have little to no idea ....or care....that they r taking a Life.  They just "rape".  "DO" without regard to anything but their own Wants. Unaware nature Talks.  Nature Lives.   Nature has Creator AWARENESS. Did not Big Brother (Christ) say "Rocks can shout"?  Did not a tree He spoke to Respond? In the O.T. of the Good Book (Bible) a prophet had his donkey speak to him.  ALL Nature TALKS N COMPREHENDS.  Ho.  ALL has "reason".  ALL Things r "Sacred" to us. OF GOD.  "God is IN ALL things", so says the Good Book. Ho. Can u see...DO u see...r N.A. Way n the Way of the Good Book R THE SAME?  One in DOING....One in READING? It is so.  The SAME.  Ho.     Anyway, we build a "CHURCH BUILDING" when we build a Sweat Lodge. Urs may cost millions, rs r free or of a tiny amount only.  Nature provides for both urs N ours.  U cut / plane / to build.  We use willows.   Yet both r simply a "special place" 2 talk to the Creator.    When r dome shape is complete we cover it till only darkness is with-in.  This represents the Womb from wench all come forth.  Before the actual willow placement, we dig a hole (while praying/Thanking r mother Earth) n place this outside the circle the dome is built on.  This Earth is r Alter.  Always placed a few feet or yds. (depends on tribe) from the doorway of the dome.  ALWAYS TO THE EAST.  I will shorten this by telling there r instructions n the reason of in many books n on internet.    Basically r services r like urs.  We break-down each segment tho.  Opening the door to let the cool air enter n to bring in fresh hot stones. 

As a sauna, we use heated stones.  These TOO have "given permission" to b used.  Killing them of their energy Life Force via the fire they r placed on.  EVEN THE FIREWOOD IS ASKED.  "Y" ask "Dead Wood"?  IT IS NOT DEAD...just REFORMED TO A DIFFERENT USE!  Still "giving".  Telephone Poles....Homes' Framing....Fence Posts / etc. Still SERVING MANKIND.  Same too with their very ashes.  HELPING TO FERTILIZE R EARTH.  No, a "dead tree" is still very much a LIVE "being"..  Ho. U may laugh. U have 4gotten.  WE STILL RETAIN.  Ho.  The Sauna is meant to relax in. To help "acks n pains".  A Sweat lodge helps acks n pains too, but to us, is a place of Personnel PLEASURE SACRIFICE 4 needs of others / self.  When whites "go to church" their regalia is of fancy cloths.  Often "to b noticed".  We enter in shorts or completely nude.  There is no "buity" in a sweat stinking body.  A Sauna is built mainly for "show" today.  "Gee, U HAVE A SAUNA...."COOL' "!      R "Practices" is simply to show r Creator we r willing to sacrifice r comfort 4 the cause of others' (occ. self) needs.
