Free Your Mind…

Please everyone let’s all try and

Tolerate one another for an hour

Take your seats please….

Please gentlemen

It’s taken a thousand years and

Hours more of dire pleas, not to

Mention all the eccentric incentives

Just to make this congregation a reality

Much gratitude is due to our great staff

For keeping them from strangling one

Another with their individual “truth”

And ideological theories

It’d appear the more sublime the

Mind; the more one recedes back to

Obnoxious antics of adolescence

Without the charm of innocence to

Help justify one’s suffering

What an unenviable chore this lil

Brilliant idea turned out to be

Well I best get this show on the way

Before they get entangled again.

Alright then gentlemen; I’d like to

Thank you all for joining us today

And without any further dues

Let’s begin our discussion with

Mister Plato;

Sir if you would please tell us about

The source of your wisdom and the

Learning tools utilized to elevate your

Conscience

“My source! I will not be degraded

By such obtuse line of questioning

I shall grant you one thing and one

Thing only;

Unbridled thought, defiant

Unrestrained, and autonomous

THINKING”

Okay so you’d like us to believe

All the ground breaking ideas and

Unprecedented theories were of

Your own and exclusively

Manifested by free thought and bereft

Of all external influences or teachings?

“Certainly I listened, but I was never

Restricted by what I heard

In-fact the shared knowledge and the

Exchange of energy only heightened

The experience, and encouraged my

Efforts, there’s no greater motivator

Than the spirit of creative competition”

So that which you acquired from

Others inspired your own independent

Thoughts

“Yes, for I questioned their validity”

Interesting; any others shared

The apostle’s path unto enlightenment?

Ah yes; Mister Aristotle very well sir

The great Socrates, the beloved Rumi

Thank you, and well it’s unanimous

Apparently we’ve finally found a common

Ground, thank you Doctor Carl Jung…

Very interesting

That brings us to my next question;

Since you represent the rarified air of

Astute, and the revolutionary schools of

Thought today still, can you tell me why

Has man fallen into such a drought in our

Theoretical evolution, and bankrupt of

Creativity, deprived of new landmark

And lasting philosophy, rare have been

The defiant muses, and their visionary

Contributions

Why, and what do you suggest may be

The cause and the corporate?

“Man no longer heeds the call from within

Detached from intuition, blinded he may

Never again view the wor1ld through visions

You imprison yourselves by flesh, yet this

Life’s merely the physical experience of your

Spirit, spirituality has been tainted by

Dogmas, and religions, thus as your

Devotion remains bound by trends and

Obscene obsessions; the ever revolving

Wheel of your arbitrary faith keeps you

Guessing and your virtues perverse

Fads demand your commitment to greed

Slavery and debt keep your mind busy with

Bills, down on your knees to worship

The paper divinity, alas the notorious

Conceit of the “elite” feeds and elongates

This infamy, economic tyranny, ritual

Alchemy, all the hocus pocus hides the

Perversion behind a shroud of secrecy

The primeval Gods, noble cons, and

Militant Jesuits, today science and

Mathematics bleed your devotion to

The almighty E=mc2

Love’s merely recalled in fables, broken

And weak the effervescent bond serves

Only as a fix for your loneliness, and need

Emotional awareness, and compassion

Only attest to undesirable gullibility

Sincerity, and candour mark an easy target

There’s no room in your routines for any

Creativite epiphany, you are too burdened

By this synthetic reality; one built to

Keep you from the gifts without and within”

Thank you the great Rumi, and yes

Doctor Jung you had something to add..

“I am God; for he is I

Conceding this truth, what more than

Myself do I need to study in-order to

To discover he and all else that

Surrounds me, the absence of synergy

This lack in understanding is a subtle

Disease you all suffer intimately, regain

The ubiquitous synergy and bring back

His glory, the spiritual bonds shall

Prove to be irrefutable in the end

You shall all elevate as one or suffer

The descent yet again as a syndicate

No ifs or buts about it”

Thank you Doctor Carl Jung.

Born in Iran and unto Persian ethnicity; I have a heritage rich in poetry.

An ancient culture embellished by the creative sublime. A historic tapestry laced by such revered wordsmiths as; Rumi, Hafes, Attar, and Khayyam. An early victim of circumstance; determined yet in time I’d reap the rewards of the consequence.

My family and life as I knew it would be torn apart by the 1978 revolution, and soon thereafter a bloody war decade long war, making vagabonds of us all. Neo-gypsies, we’d wander about the globe in search of a shelter to call home.  The journey would lend an intimate insight unto multi-cultural virtues and values, an acute sense of global awareness. Therefore my youthful memorable experiences would be rich in abundance and vast in variety. Such prosper due to adversities and the sheer magnitude of sites and sounds during my most influential years of growth and development have allowed me a distinct approach and diverse perception of existence, consequently to impact my poetry. This privileged resource; rich in wisdom and emotional extremities would also afford my belief liberty from any secular biases, independent to discover the faith in me and accomplish a somewhat unique sense of spiritual maturity. To me logic's the language of the mind, and evidence of science, alas poetry's the accent of passion, and the expression from the heart.
