Seldom or Sublime
Today; abound and prolific
Creativity resides exclusively
Within the innovative minds of
Thieves
A sampling generation utilizing arts
To chip away at the foundation of our
Divine inheritance, be it artless initials
Carved emphatically upon the sacred
Smile of Mona Lisa, or aborting the
Marble
That once gave birth to David by
Cloning through Nano technology
They scour about in abstract thicket
Of words we all generously call verse
Paint a brick-wall puke brown
Stack some metal cabinets in
An isometric façade, and a
Neoimpressionist
Imbecile with a decadent
Degree may declare your
Trash another ingenuous
Achievement in modern
Art
Profiteers exploiting art
A bidding war for the rights
To uninspired creations, somber
I trace the matte shades over this
Spiritless canvas, drunk upon my
Own censorious devices, for it’s
When I found the barometers
Of grace in any and all arts
Relate
Exclusively to the sophistication
Of the admirer, that I reckoned I’d
Never pry-open any eyes perverted
By shallow infiltrations to see the
Depth in sublime, nor share these
Visions I’ve forever held sacred
I can still hear the recruiting
Pitch of solicitors demanding
All to signup for the mandatory
Draft:
“Come sell your art for freedom’s sake
And keep your flesh and blood for a modest
Fee”
So
Today I’ll shut my eyes again
Cover my ears and curl up in a
Loathsome corner to self induce
This dismal state of amnesia over
My
Outraged mind.
