A Sea Of Red Flags On Every Rooftop

If the die hard devotees of Capitalism have anyone to blame for the creation of a Socialist state right here in America it will be their role models on Wall St whose excesses have not only ruined the economy of the United States but threaten the economic well being of the rest of the World as well. Had these greedy parasites of today took pause from their dirty work to study the fallout they are creating at present they might understand the dire consequences of their unethical behavior. If they look to the past they would realize that when a Capitalist based economy begins to implode the vacuum is almost always filled either by a Socialist state or a Fascist dictatorship. If at the time of a massive financial collapse the government in being has the foresight to avoid the inevitable chaos, anarchy and even the possibility of revolution, it must take action such as that taken by the Roosevelt Administration during the Great Depression. Although Roosevelt was a member of the ruling elite he wisely decided to implement programs based on Socialist models in an attempt to help save the working man while regulating the excesses of Wall St.

This balance, although not perfect by any means, was nevertheless effective in helping improve conditions for the workingman while keeping the ruling class in place.

While this compromise between Capitalism and Socialism helped to stabilize the situation in America, other nations whose economies were also adversely affected by the Great Depression such as Italy and Germany, were either unable or unwilling to forge a compromise between its workers and ruling class, the consequence of which was fascist dictatorship and World War II. On the other hand the October Revolution of 1917 would bring Socialism to Russia, the seeds of which were sown by the last vestiges of aristocracy in Europe, and hastened by both war and economic hardship visited upon the general population. Right now the form of government in the United States is a dictatorship of corporate dominated fascism, not a republic based on democratic principles in which its founders intended. Although elections are still held only candidates acceptable to the corporate ruling class are allowed to hold office, therefore effectively shutting down the will of the people.

Of course this analysis will be disputed, but is in fact correct when taking into consideration the actions presently being taken by the corporate dominated government in the United States and that of other governments in the World today to halt the present worsening economic downturn by shoring up and making good the losses of the banks and investment houses.

It is clear that the emphasis of these actions are not on behalf of their victims, the great masses of humanity, but almost entirely to the benefit of the ruling elite who have initiated the present unenviable situation. Pouring trillions of tax dollars into the coffers of a failed and bankrupt financial sector at the expense of an already hard pressed workforce is absurd and counter productive to anything which can be defined as a stimulus.

By ignoring the plight of the average working man the ruling class opens the door to the establishment a Socialist state, the possibility of which increases as the disparity of wealth between the corporate elite and the average worker becomes ever greater. The blatant theft of the people’s wealth to save a flawed economic system which rewards the few through the exploitation of the many will ultimately fail. Time is rapidly running out for the exploiters of mankind whose corruption and insatiable greed is responsible for the global network of sweat shops in which overworked and underpaid workers toil to produce the products for debt based economies which teeter on the brink of ruin. While the ruling Capitalist elite and their stooges in Washington may at present feel confident that their grip on the minds and pockets of the people is secure and without threat, they may well one day awake to a sea of red flags of revolution on every rooftop and hanging from every window. It will be then that they will understand that humanity has had enough of them
